From CAD to price, explained
No black box. Here is exactly what happens between your upload and your quote.
- 1
Upload & measure
Your 3D model is opened in the browser with a real CAD kernel and measured exactly: bounding box, volume, surface area and whether the outline is round (turnable). DXF profiles give the exact cut length and area.
- 2
Read the drawing
If you attach a PDF or photo drawing, AI reads overall dimensions, material callouts, tolerances, threads and finishes. It never sets prices — it only extracts parameters.
- 3
Choose the route
You pick the process, or we choose the most economical one: turned or milled CNC, sheet metal, profile cutting, casting, forging or 3D printing.
- 4
Size the raw material
Machined parts: the smallest standard round bar or plate that encloses the part plus allowance — whichever is lighter. Castings & forgings: near-net weight plus allowance, never solid stock.
- 5
Calculate time & cost
Roughing time from removed volume, finishing from surface area, adjusted for complexity, tolerance and batch size, at real machine-hour rates. Setup is charged once per order.
- 6
Itemised quote
Material, machining, processes, finishes, tooling and minimums — with lead time and taxes, in INR or USD. Accept it, and an engineer confirms the final price.
